It's pretty simple and easy really - a cheeky little trick for digital painters is to find a decent reference picture and then using the photoshop colour-picker to extract your painting pallate. I then paint quickly and loosely using the different texture brushes. I start using larger brush sizes and zoomed out and then getting smaller and more zoomed in for the smaller details! I really like the classic complimentary colour palates in these pictures - blue and orange, i.e.: cold and warm - which leads the exactly where I want: To the eye in the first and to the tiger in the second.
Tigers are so unbelievably beautiful, it's so sad to think there are very few of them left!
Thanks!
